CLICK ON THE "GET HIP" ICON to search the database or access your account.
This site also allows you to check your account and renew items.
 Click on the get HIP icon above.
 Select your library by scrolling down to Sherman Public Library District.
 Follow directions to search by author, title, subject, etc. and click "Go" or Enter. If you want to check specifically to see if Sherman Library has the material, select the "Advanced Search" option at the top of the screen and use the "Limits" feature to select Sherman PL. From the Advanced Search screen, type in your search items, like author keyword and/or title keyword.
 From the list that appears, click on the item you want. Even in the "Basic" search function, the list that appears will indicate if items are located at Sherman Library.
 You will see a lot of information and various linked to more information on the author or related works, etc. To make a request, scroll down to "Request Item" and click on it. If you intend to request several items, choose "Add to my list" and continue searching.
 Enter your library card number ( the entire bar code beginning 27592000 if you are a Sherman patron) and your PIN (last four digits of the bar code.) Click "Login."
 Make sure the pickup location is correct. Material will be sent to the location listed. Choose the one most convenient for you. Choose Sherman PL if you want to pickup your material here. Click "Request."
 The screen will let you know if your request was successfully submitted, the pickup location and how you will be notified. From this point, either "Return to Searching" or "Logout."
If you chose to be notified by e-mail, please make sure the library has your correct e-mail address on file.
Requested books must be picked up 7 days after they are received or they will be returned to the lending library.
High Demand Titles owned by Sherman Public Library will be held for 48 Hours before advancing to the next patron request.
This site also allows you to check your account and renew items. Select "My Account" at the top of the screen and login. If you have trouble logging in, the problem may be with your PIN number. Call the library for that and any other problems you have requesting materials.
